There is no way I can make my FF into a default browser and showing some old exe files from old FF's leaves me with no comprehension to do anything. I follow the three steps properly ending with the FF icon in the browser box. That does nothing - unless I need to acknowledge its done, but where do I do that?

When I am trying to upload a file to any website in Firefox the right click context menu options are all missing. I have tried a new profile, troubleshoot mode, seems like nothing fixes it. Other browsers work like intended so I know it is Firefox internal

After the last couple of Firefox updates, my settings have been automatically changed. This has not happened until recently How can I stop Firefox from changing my settings when it updates? OS is Windows 11. TYIA!

Typically, I have about 6 windows open at a time with about 20 tabs in each window. Previously, I was able to shut down my computer and all of them would reopen again. But, today is the second day in a row that that hasn't worked even though I have Open Previous Tabs & Windows checked off in the settings.

I would appreciate figuring this out as it's a pain in the ass opening everything again.

Jag har en iMac och jag har en Airbook. Båda har Firefox, på samma konto dvs sitter samman. Ändå skiljer vissa saker. Detta är en fråga om språket. Ett litet problem är att på airbook'en förstår inte firefox att jag vill skriva på svenska. Tex i denna ruta där frågan ställs markerar den vartenda ord och tycker det är dålig engelska dvs stryker under med rött.

Jag har jämfört inställningarna de bägge datorerna emellan. Har Firefox addon (tillägg) för Svenska. En märklig sak är att det verkar omöjligt att ta bort engelska språkpaketet om det finns där (den dator där det funkar saknar engelska tillägget som extra alternativ). Om jag klickar på något av de markerade orden här och kollar "språk" så anges att det är engelska - varför har inte svenska språkpaketet gått in, fast det står som installerat om man ser via tilläggens inställningar (där endast valet "ta bort", dvs är tillagt).

Detta dyker endast upp via Firefox, ej Chrome, alltså inte djupare i datorns inställningar om dess språk utan förefaller vara direkt en bugg eller felinställning i just Firefox. Men VAR? Varför får datorn för sig att jag försöker skriva på engelska, när svenska är installerat och inställt för.

I'm debugging some web sites, and I often need to reload a page to see if a change I made on the server works correctly. On iPads and Android devices, this doesn't seem possible. Yes, there are the circular-arrow buttons, but they only work with Firefox (and Chrome;-) on my MacOS or my linux server, but not on my iPads or Android gadgets. They act like they're doing something, but the page on their screen doesn't change. (With FF or Chrome on the "real" computers, it does change). The only advice I find online is to use CTL-R or something similar but those "devices" don't have CTL buttons. Nothing else I guess at works, either.

When I ask online, I get replies that work for linux, MacOS or Windows, but clearly saying "iPad or Android doesn't help; the answers don't apply to those systems.

Am I missing something? Web developers need ways debug their code or html or whatever they're working on, and this requires checking how it works on the actual users' screens.

I am using an extension to monitor websites. I would like to start it as homepage. Unfortuantely, it does not come up active. It requires a manual reload (Ctrl-R) because it doesn't fully start.

Is it possible to automate this initial reload?

If not, can the extension developer force the reload on browser startup?

I am trying to sync my laptop with my iPhone. I am told to open Firefox on the phone, open the menu and go to Synchronise and Save Data. It's not there, nothing remotely like it on the first page or under Settings. There's no Privacy and Security heading either. So how do I do it?

After a Firefox update, my bookmarks menu, which was on the left side of the screen vanished. I have not been able to restore it. When I click the bookmark box (at the top of the page) I get three choices showing up on the upper left side of the screen. 1) Summarize , brainstorm, etc. 2) Tabs from other devices. and 3) History. So how do I get bookmarks???

Up until a coouple of days ago while working in Chrome when a Firefox notification popped up from chat websites in Firefox, I could click on the notification and be switched to the website in Firefox. Now all that happns is the Firefox icon in the taskbar blinks... I wonder if it's due to a recent windows update... The A4 print preview (and the printout itself) from the PDF file is shrunken. I've tried printing from Edge and everything works normally there, so it's a Firefox problem. How do I fix it?

Regarding the new tab grouping feature, I see you have to go to "about.config" and change "browser.tabs.groups.enabled" to "TRUE" to activate this feature. But there are 3 other options - what do each of these other 3 mean?

(1) browser.tabs.groups.smart.enabled (2) browser.tabs.groups.smart.optin (3) browser.tabs.groups.smart.userEnabled

I have been told that interact with my internet email service provider does not allow me to do such things as add attachment to emails because my firefox browser is using an improper buffer size. The email service provider tech would not speculate on what that buffer size should be. Only to state that Firefox had it wrong and a Firefox tech could explain the problem to me further..

 I am also finding that when I try to use firefox  address book I get this response...

Bad Request Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand. Size of a request header field exceeds server limit.

Can someone enlighten me on these issues.?
