When I logged in today after a few days away I realised I was not getting any Task Reminders, although there should have been several for repeating tasks which were due whilst I was away. On looking in the Calendar window I found that all the Tasks had disappeared. How do I get them back? (I do have the computer backed up with Macrium Reflect, so I could restore the file(s) from last week, but I have no idea where the Calendar data is stored.)

For some reason, I am getting message that the Certificate for server is not valid (etc.). I can not get or send my emails as of this morning. Is there something I can do to resolve this issue?

Hello, I am new to this forum, from GDR.

Cannot delete a folder under my Local Folder. I have deleted it several times, and deleted the trash also, but no matter how many times I delete the folder, and restart Thunderbird, it still comes back. Sometimes there is two of the same folder that comes back.

If anyone one can point me to a solution, that would make me happy!!!

Imap account keeps downloading greyed out deleted messages. Checked server and they are not shown there. Repeated deletions and emptying trash does not solve issue, neither does compacting. Deletions are set to go to the imap trash folder.

For the last couple weeks my new unread emails have not been displaying in the list or the preview pane. This is only happening for my IMAP account and not the 2 Gmail accounts (which are also IMAP). I see the "new message" count but no new messages are displaying. I see TB connecting, logging in and opening my IMAP inbox without errors. IMAP is configure according to my Network Solutions email provider (Port 993, SSL/TLS, normal password). After closing and opening TB several times sometimes the messages load. Sometimes once a new email is received that and other new messages will display.

The uploaded image shows my inbox with a new message count of 47, quick filter set to unread and no messages displaying.

Not sure if this is related but TB also is having occasional issues copying messages to the sent folder after sending.

Is there a setting that I am missing that allows me to see parts of two months simultaneously? As an example; May 2025 ends on a Friday and I have an event which straddles the two months. Unless I have missed a setting somewhere, I am forced to toggle back and forth between the months to see how the timelines are laid out. Perhaps a minor irritant, but one which I can only recall running into in the Thunderbird calendar.

If there is a setting I am missing, please point my blind eyes to it. If not, this could be a nice improvement. Toggle or no toggle.

Been using Thunderbird for Android for many months for the email accounts I have with my ISP [optonline.net]. Several days ago sending of emails began failing. Error messages appearing in my Android Notifications say, "Failed to send some messages" "Sender refused". This is happening on all 4 of the devices my wife and I use. 2 phones and 2 tablets. Optimum is blaming Thunderbird. Thunderbird is still working fine on my Windows computer. It seems that all info regarding turning on Troubleshoot mode is referring to the Windows version as I can't find the "Help" menu item in the Android version anywhere. I have reconfigured the accounts in Thunderbird multiple times. The setup of SMTP always seems to end clean with a message of "Settings saved". It seems to me that Thunderbird is getting some error code from my ISPs mail server and I am hoping to have some more info to share with their tech support. The version if Thunderbird for Mobile we are on now is 9. I noticed that version 9 was just released on 5/5/2025. Not sure when exactly version 9 was pulled down to my devices. My phone is Android version 10. My tablet is Android version 14. Both are having the same exact issue.

Hello, All of a sudden when turning Thunderbird on, I have found that all messages in my Inbox have gone ( except a few for last day or two). Looking around Thunderbird I have found all Inbox emails have bee dumped into my Trash folder! Please help - how can I get emails back where they belong and get Thunderbird back into working order? I am trying to remove the EN_US spell checking option from Thunderbird, I have thunderbird 128..10 installed as a snap on kubuntu 24.04. I have tried all the things like removing hunspell dictionaries, I hunted through my profile directory and removed the EN_US xpi file but still the US spell checking will not go away. Does anybody have any ideas?

Hi, I have 2 calendars with different links, usernames & password running via Baikal/CALDAV I can install one instance of calendar without any problem. When I try to install the second calendar via network, it always finds the one already installed. But the link is different to the first one. I suppose that there may be some mismatch in the system, but I have no idea what to do. It is important to say that it was possible on my older Laptop. But now I discover, that the second calendar cannot sync anymore. Could you help me to find a solution? Kind regards

My Windows version of Thunderbird is missing my global folders ("Saved"). It appears in my Android version of Thunderbird.

Attached are screenshots of the available folders for the email account's webmail app, Thunderbird Windows & Android.

Everything was working fine till we lost power yesterday. I used my iPhone as a Hot Spot to get emails, but couldn't send them. Power back and our server, but still not able to send emails. I have tried setting up a new security key and deleted my email account and rebuilt it with no change. Very frustrating! I need to be able to send emails out. Soon! Attached are the messages I get. Nothing works. Window 11 Pro

What does this mean, Unable to open the summary file for Sent . Perhaps there was an error on disk, or the full path is too long. This just appeared. How do I get my sent emails back

What is this file, encrypted-openpgp-passphrase.txt-11.corrupt? I have 123 of them. I think it may be created every I migrate Thunderbird from one PC to another. Is it OK to delete them? I have no use for them that I know of.

After a reboot of my computer (Win11) I cannot open any locally stored Emails in Thunderbird (138.0.1) any more.

These Emails can be seen in the message list in their folders but do not open any more in preview nor can I open them. Also trying to move them to another folder does not work, nor can I forward them by right-clicking and select "Forward message".

On the hard disk the data is still in the profile folders and I can open them with a text editor.

I already tried copying the profile to another folder and open it with a new profile. The same result.

A re-installation also did not solve the problem.

Well. Now the situation gets more confused. T'Bird: 128.10.1esr (64-bit) Just did an update . . . and all the file folders in my left pane disappeared. NO THANK YOU! Why? Where did they go? How to get them back?

And then, should they reappear perhaps the initial issue can also be addressed and solved: Subfolders were greyed-out and in italics; when attempting to drag an incoming message into one of those folders it is refused . . . locked out . . . rejected. So, what's all that about? How to solve that?
